IUNO procede per sentieri inaspettati e costruiti mediante sedimentazione. Per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di dilatare il tempo, analizzando una parola all’anno, lasciando che sia questa a suggerire quali strade percorrere. La parola chiave che guida le nostre ricerche per questo anno è Selvatico.

Selvatico è una categoria mobile. È il residuo, è il margine, ma è anche un luogo fondativo: la prima radice. È il caos, che nella cosmogonia arcaica viene ancora prima del tempo. È ciò che si salva e che ci salva, è la natura resistente, è ciò che non è addomesticato e capace di accogliere l’irrazionale.

Il selvatico è il luogo del rito, della metamorfosi, della conoscenza non sistematica, in quanto tale non è solo un tema ma anche un’indicazione di metodo, il modo in cui costruiremo un percorso di analisi: per strappi, accostamenti, trasformazioni e giravolte, con fiducia nella trasformazione.

Selvatico (The Wild / Untamed) is a mobile category. It is the residue, it is the margin, but it is also a founding place: the first root. The wild / untamed is the place of ritual, of metamorphosis, of non-systematic knowledge; as such, it is not only a theme but also an indication of method, the way in which we will construct a direction of analysis: through ruptures, juxtapositions, transformations and turns, with trust in transformation.
